During the month of January we will complete the migration to our redesigned website that showcases our current monthly magazine along with easy access to previous issues.
Our goal is to continue our mission of being the trusted journalistic resource for the direct selling industry. Now, through our new design and functionality, we make it far easier for you to access the information you have become accustomed to reading in Direct Selling News.
Since 2004 we have written many stories that serve to keep industry stakeholders and decision-makers inspired and informed. In fact, currently, every monthly publication contains a cover story and two to three feature articles averaging more than 2,000 words each. These articles often remain relevant and of value many months after they are published. In the new website design, you will find our latest issue, and you’ll also have immediate access to the past three editions. Additionally, over the next few months we’ll be building our archives to include articles written as far back as 2004—DSN’s inception.
We will also provide you with access to other resources important to industry decision-makers and contributions from time to time from friends in other parts of the world who will contribute editorial content and updates.
Providing timely and relevant news, thought-provoking commentaries and insights from today’s top leaders and experts, our new platform will also be available on any tablet or mobile device. The site is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and rich with content and resources to support the needs of industry executives and thought leaders, both domestically and around the globe.
The following provides an overview of some of the functionality of the new website:
Our new design will enable us to expand our news coverage beyond the limitations associated with our print publication. This section will be an area of continuous growth for us as we identify sources of content across the globe, bringing to you stories from not only the United States but also other key regions of the world.
Written by journalists who understand the direct selling business model, our feature stories provide in-depth looks at the current issues facing direct selling as well as the companies that embody the entrepreneurial spirit of the industry. You’ll find informative articles on how direct sellers are faring throughout the world, as well as new trends and technologies affecting the industry, spotlights on established companies and startup enterprises, and insights to the charitable giving efforts and corporate philanthropy of direct sellers.
We’ve brought to the website one of the most popular sections of our magazine, Perspectives, which offers original content and astute commentary from respected direct selling executives and industry consultants on the contemporary issues impacting business. You’ll find articles from today’s top CEOs who share their ideas on what it takes to lead in today’s changing business environment, as well as advice from experts on the tactics and strategies that enable companies to meet industry challenges, improve efficiencies and achieve business objectives.
Over the past few years we have had the opportunity to create special supplements that have been well received within the industry and the public at large. In our DSN Exclusives section, you’ll be able to access these exclusive publications—including our USA Today “Why Direct Selling Works” supplement and the highly respected research study S.W.O.T. Analysis on Direct Selling. In addition, you’ll find one-on-one interviews with CEOs, special reports on the direct selling industry, and our groundbreaking DSN Global 100 list of the top revenue-generating companies.
Our Resources section provides you with direct links to global, national and regional associations. You can connect with the U.S. Direct Selling Association, the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations and Seldia, the European Direct Selling Association, as well as access more than 60 national associations from around the globe. This section also includes articles from regional contributors who provide updates on the status of their respective national direct selling associations, and a section on personal development for the basic skill training and personal growth strategies needed for entrepreneurs to succeed in direct selling.
We invite you to browse our new site. You’ll find additional links and features, and have the opportunity to sign up to follow Direct Selling News on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ and subscribe to our RSS feed.
As always, we welcome and appreciate any feedback.
