Rita Davenport, President of Arbonne International LLC, is retiring.
Davenport joined Arbonne in 1988 as an independent consultant and within one year reached Regional Vice President, became No. 1 in the Parade of Champions for Sales and Sponsoring, and won the President’s Award. She has served as Arbonne’s President since 1991. A nationally recognized entrepreneur, author and award-winning speaker, Davenport has received the CSP and CPAE awards from the National Speakers Association and is now in the Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame. Prior to joining Arbonne, she produced and hosted her own television show, Strategies for Success, for 15 years, which was viewed in over 32 million homes.
Davenport’s retirement comes as the company has achieved significant growth following its financial restructuring.
In a related announcement, Stian Mørck has rejoined Arbonne as Managing Director. Mørck, the son of Arbonne’s late founder Petter Mørck, brings to Arbonne many years of network marketing expertise and business management experience in the direct selling industry.
As Managing Director, Mørck works closely with Arbonne’s Field Consultants and leaders, acting as a key liaison between independent consultants and Arbonne. He attends consultant-related events, speaking engagements and other activities, and works directly with corporate executives and staff on consultant tools and materials. Mørck also provides guidance to the company and contributes to further Arbonne’s culture by providing historical perspective, personal experiences and resources.
Mørck joined Arbonne in 1989 and became involved in every aspect of the business, from customer service and field support, to marketing, operations and sales. He also has served as a DSA Board Member.
Ampegy LLC, the network marketing channel of Spark Energy, announced Todd Thoman as President.
Thoman brings sales, marketing and energy industry experience, and community relations expertise, to his new role. As President, he will be responsible for setting strategy, recruiting representatives, opening new markets and ensuring a quality service experience for Ampegy customers. He was previously Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development at Spark Energy and was responsible for invigorating the company’s corporate culture. Before that he managed Spark Energy’s direct sales division and has been involved in its marketing division. Prior to joining the company, Thoman spent many years in operations, sales and marketing.
Thoman succeeds Waters Davis, who will resume his role as Executive Vice President of Operations as well as Administration of Spark Energy. Davis has been appointed to serve as an active member of the Ampegy Advisory Board, along with Phil Tonge, President of Spark Energy, and Mandy Bush, Vice President of Finance for Spark Energy.
Cheri Davies has been appointed Director, Interactive Marketing and Communications. Davies will be directly responsible for all marketing communications for Ampegy, such as social media, print, marketing collateral, all websites and Ampegy’s overall online presence. She will provide the tools to help continue to make Ampegy representatives be successful while also engaging Ampegy’s new customers with useful energy information and a seamless online enrollment path.
Her previous employment includes working in marketing positions within the utilities industry as well as the telecommunications industry with increasing responsibility.
Agel has announced Jeff Higginson and Jeremiah Bradley as co-CEOs for the company. Higginson will focus his attention on Sales and Marketing while Bradley will oversee Operations.
Along with President and Co-Founder Craig Bradley, Higginson and Bradley will help create synergy with the new strategic direction from Boyd Matheson, a special advisor to the Board of Directors, and other new members of the executive team. Matheson will be focused on developing short- and long-term communication and business strategies that will strengthen the awareness of Agel’s worldwide brand.
Higginson most recently was Vice President of Sales and responsible for global sales efforts. Bradley was previously Vice President and General Manager of Latin America, overseeing Mexico, Central America and South America.
Michael J. Levitt
Carole Black and Michael J. Levitt have been elected to the Herbalife Ltd. board of directors.
Black serves as a Director of Time Warner Cable Inc. and has since July 2006. She is the former President and CEO of Lifetime Entertainment Services, a multimedia brand for women. Prior to that, Black served as the President and General Manager of NBC4, Los Angeles, and in various marketing-related positions at The Walt Disney Co.
Levitt is the Chairman and CEO of Stone Tower Capital LLC, which he founded in 2001 as an alternative investment management firm. Prior to forming Stone Tower, Levitt was a partner with the private equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst Inc., served as a Managing Director and the Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division of Smith Barney Inc. and was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley & Co.
Black and Levitt are filling existing vacancies on the board. John Tartol and Michael O. Johnson were each re-elected for a three-year term.
Herbalife also announced that skin care expert Paolo Giacomoni, Ph.D., has joined the company as Vice President, Worldwide Outer Nutrition, with responsibility to develop innovative solutions for global skin and hair care needs. Giacomoni joined Herbalife after 13 years at Estee Lauder, where he most recently served as Executive Director of Research. In this position, he oversaw scientific research and communications for the Clinique line and played a leading role in the development of multiple products, introducing new technologies to the marketplace and spearheading concept formulations. Previously, Giacomoni was with L’Oreal for 13 years, first in basic research and then in product development.
Giacomoni holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Paris VI and a master’s degree in physics from the University of Milan. He holds several patents and has had over 100 scientific studies published in the areas of biochemistry, cellular biology, photobiology and skin aging.
Kerry Brown has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing at LIMU.
Brown previously served the company as Marketing Director and was hired to drive the company’s brand transformation, new product launches and sales incentives. He will continue to direct LIMU’s marketing campaigns, including expanding to international markets.
Since joining LIMU in October 2009, Brown has been instrumental in LIMU’s brand transformation, launch of their weight management system LIMU Lean, a new website, compensation plan and refined Blu Frog Energy packaging. Brown has worked as a marketer in several industries, directing all aspects of product development, strategy, packaging, promotions, imaging and sales materials.
Current marketing executive Justo Nunez has taken on the role of Vice President of Community Relations. Nunez, a strong advocate of company growth and development, will direct the company’s charitable initiative, LIMU Gives, working with a growing list of partner charities.
