|Ken Mulhall||The Board of Directors of the Direct Sellers Association (DSA) of Canada announced the appointment of Ken Mulhall to the full-time role of Association President.
Mulhall has previously served as President and CEO of the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) and as Senior Vice President of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM).
Mulhall will work with the DSA’s board of directors and staff to build upon the solid foundation left by President Ross Creber, who is retiring at the end of this year. Creber has made significant contributions to the direct selling industry in many capacities, both in Canada and internationally, over the last 30 years, 14 of which were spent in the role of DSA Canada President.
Since 1954 the Direct Sellers Association of Canada has established and upheld rigorous standards, ethics and good business practices as the recognized voice of the direct selling industry in Canada.
|Dr. Vasily Isakov|
The Nutrilite Health Institute of Amway has appointed Dr. Vasily Isakov of the Institute of Nutrition of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences as a member of its Scientific Advisory Board.
The Nutrilite Health Institute Scientific Advisory Board comprises eight scientists in the fields of nutrition, health and genetics from around the world. As a board member, Dr. Isakov will lend knowledge and expertise into the brand’s research and development.
Dr. Isakov is the Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Institute of Nutrition of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. His research work is concentrated on nutrition in pathogenesis and treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
Currently Dr. Isakov serves as the Editor in Chief of Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology (Russian edition), the Vice President of the Russian Scientific Society of Gastroenterologists and an editorial board member of the Best Practice & Research Clinical Gastroenterology, Experimental and Clinical Gastroenterology, and Voprosy Pitaniya.

Herbalife announced the appointment of Richard Carmona, M.D., M.P.H., FACS, and 17th Surgeon General of the United States, to the company’s board of directors. Dr. Carmona brings more than 40 years of experience in medicine, nutrition, preventative health and business to the Herbalife board. Dr. Carmona joins as an independent Director.
He currently serves as the first Distinguished Professor of Public Health at the University of Arizona and the first Distinguished Professor of Health Promotion and Entrepreneurship at The Ohio State University. He is President of the nonprofit Canyon Ranch Institute Board of Directors in Tucson, Ariz., and Vice Chairman of Canyon Ranch.
Born to a poor family in New York City, Dr. Carmona’s experiences greatly influenced him and exposed him to the relationships among culture, health, education and economic status, which shaped his future.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and went on to become a combat-decorated Special Forces Vietnam veteran, the Chairman of the State of Arizona Southern Regional Emergency Medical System and a professor of surgery, public health, and family and community medicine at the University of Arizona. In 2002, he was nominated by the President and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate to become the 17th Surgeon General of the United States.

Most recently, Strulson served as Senior Vice President, Chief Privacy Officer, and Counsel of another direct seller. There, he was a member of the senior executive team and oversaw all general corporate legal work worldwide, including 20 internal attorneys and over 100 outside law firms across 88 countries. He was also responsible for the legal processes associated with opening new international markets as well as leading the compliance efforts related to privacy and data protection, securities, document retention, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

PartyLite, a direct seller that produces and sells high-quality lifestyle products such as candles, home fragrances and accessories, announced Luca Pozzoli will join PartyLite Europe as Group General Manager, Switzerland and Emerging Markets, and Vice President, Market Development. In this capacity, he will be responsible for growing the market portfolio of PartyLite Europe. Pozzoli has over 20 years of management experience in the direct selling industry.
In his new position, Pozzoli will assume overall responsibility for Switzerland, one of PartyLite’s core markets, and the emerging markets of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy and Poland. He will also be a key member of the senior team that formulates PartyLite Europe’s strategic direction and oversees its implementation.
Pozzoli began his career in 1990 as a marketing trainee at another direct seller. During the past 20 years he held various management positions within that company, most recently as Area Vice President, Eastern Europe.
Along with locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia, PartyLite’s exclusive products are also distributed in 17 European countries. PartyLite is a member of the Blyth Inc. family of companies.

4Life executives appointed Mirassul Dilamar Pereira as the company’s General Manager of its 23rd marketplace, Brazil.
Pereira comes to 4Life with years of experience as an independent distributor in network marketing. Most recently, his professional responsibilities as a Director of Corporate Resources included the oversight of 6,000 employees in 23 offices throughout Brazil, and managing a budget of 23.5 million USD.
In support of 4Life’s newest market with corporate headquarters in São Paulo—the country’s largest city—Pereira’s responsibilities will include overseeing Brazil’s day-to-day operations, developing relationships with 4Life distributors and ensuring that 4Life’s brand is properly represented.

MonaVie, a global direct seller of premium nutrition products, announced that Paul Muehlmann has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. He will guide the company’s strategic global marketing and branding initiatives.
Muehlmann joins MonaVie with an extensive marketing and sales background that spans more than 25 years. Specializing in global brand development, new product design, strategic marketing, marketing communications and new business development, Muehlmann has worked in the direct selling industry for more than a decade. Muehlmann’s diverse background also includes top marketing and sales positions at Genealogy.com, Anchor Hocking and Target. He served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard for 13 years as an intelligence officer.

Jewel Kade announced that direct sales industry leader, motivational speaker and author Pam Herbert has joined the artisan jewelry and décor direct sales company as Vice President of Sales. Herbert will lead the growth, training and business support for Jewel Kade’s nearly 5,000 Stylists across the United States and Canada.
Herbert has spent more than 30 years in the direct sales industry, and most recently she has authored several e-books on the “how to” of direct selling. She also has been a national direct sales speaker and served as a consultant to industry executives.
Previously, Herbert was National Sales Manager for a retail company where she opened their direct selling channel, developing the compensation plan, promotional materials and salesforce training. Herbert has had a distinguished career, including several senior sales positions that spanned more than a decade of service.
Jewel Kade also announced that Stacy Schindler has joined the company as Senior Field Development Manager. Schindler will work closely with Herbert in providing sales and sponsoring support, training and development for Jewel Kade’s Stylists.
Schindler brings more than 15 years’ experience in direct sales, business development and training. She has taken her sales and training expertise to the retail and financial services industries, as well.

Vidacup International announced the appointment of Jeff Mack to the position of CEO. Mack brings more than 20 years’ experience in the direct selling industry, having been a speaker, trainer and recruiter while building organizations in the U.S. and abroad.
