Avon Products Inc. announced the appointment of Cheryl Heinonen as Group Vice President, Global Corporate Relations and Chief Communications Officer, and Scott Crum as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief People Officer. Both will report to Sheri McCoy, Avon’s CEO, and Crum will join the company’s Executive Committee.
Heinonen’s responsibilities will include Corporate and Employee Communications, Public Relations, Representative Communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
She has extensive experience in managing corporate reputation for large, global consumer brands. Most recently she has served as a Managing Director at Burson-Marsteller, a global public relations and communications firm. Her areas of focus include reputation management, CSR, organizational communications, consumer branding and international public affairs.
Crum will contribute to Avon’s turnaround efforts with his significant experience leading human resources teams and transforming workplace cultures at large, global companies. Most recently, Crum served as Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer of Motorola Mobility, where he led human resources initiatives for establishing Motorola Mobility as a separate, independent and publicly traded company.

Arbonne International LLC announced the appointment of Heather Chastain as Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer. Chastain, an experienced direct selling industry executive, will assume the role of overseeing Arbonne’s sales organization.
In her new role, Chastain will guide key areas of the business related to Arbonne’s independent consultant salesforce—field development and sales—including expanding and supporting the multicultural markets, public relations, salesforce events and online marketing.
Chastain has more than 16 years of direct selling industry experience in a wide array of direct sales business operations. She was most recently president of another direct seller and successfully executed several vice president roles in previous positions. Chastain also currently sits on the board of the Direct Selling Association.

Herbalife Ltd. announced the appointment of experts from Colombia and Ireland to its Nutrition Advisory Board.
Jaime Orrego Gaviria, M.D., is an expert in neonatology medicine in Colombia. He has been in private practice since 1982 and is currently Director of the NICU at Fundación Clínica del Valle del Lili, Cali-Colombia. He holds several memberships of professional and honorary societies, such as The Colombian Society of Pediatrics and Neonatology. Gaviria lectures extensively and has been published on a variety of topics concerning pediatrics, perinatology and neonatology.
Carel le Roux, MBChB, MSc, MRCP, FRCPath, Ph.D., is an expert in metabolic medicine and is currently a professor of experimental pathology at University College, Dublin, Ireland. Professor le Roux is a member of a number of learned societies, such as the Association for the Study of Obesity and the Nutrition Society. He has been published extensively and currently holds a number of editorial roles for journals in his field, including Metabolic Journal Watch, Clinical Obesity, and Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases. He has also represented South Africa in athletics at the World Indoor Championships and the Commonwealth Games.

Noot has the entrepreneurial experience that he will contribute to MonaVie’s fast-paced business environment. Having previously run a company that provides online infrastructure software to direct sales companies, he also has extensive industry experience and is a strong distributor advocate.
