Direct Sellers among Inc.’s Fastest-Growing U.S. Companies
Several U.S. direct selling companies earned a spot on Inc. magazine’s annual 500|5000 ranking. The Inc. 5000 is a list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, with the Inc. 500 representing a special ranking of companies in the top 10 percent.
Direct sellers among this year’s Inc. 5000 include It Works! Global (No. 436); Zija International (No. 504); J.Hilburn (No. 605); Initials Inc. (No. 762); YOR Health (No. 1052); Ambit Energy (No. 1996); 5LINX (No. 3009); STEMTech International (No. 3986) and Isagenix International (No. 4556).
Introduced in 1982, the Inc. 5000 ranks companies according to percentage of revenue growth over a four-year period. To qualify for the 2013 ranking, each company had to be based in the United States with a privately held, independent status as of Dec. 31, 2012. The Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony celebrating the 2013 honorees will take place Oct. 10–12 in Washington, D.C.
Vidacup International Announces Strategic Partnership
Vidacup International recently announced a strategic partnership with Globus Holdings, a global investment company with a focus on the direct selling industry. With the expertise and strategic relationships that Globus has developed in the industry, Vidacup is positioning itself in the functional beverage segment of global direct selling.
Vidacup International, which was pre-launched in 2012, specializes in bringing to market ready-brew coffee infused with herbal blends, providing “coffee with a purpose” and using the direct sales distribution channel. Coffee represents a $125 billion market, and the direct selling industry generated over $165 billion in revenues in 2012.
Vidacup International is a direct sales and network marketing company dedicated to changing lives around the world through their functional beverages and supplements infused with nutritional products.
Isagenix to Launch in China
Health and wellness company Isagenix recently announced plans to launch in China this November. As it expands into one of the largest economies in the world, Isagenix will host a series of events offering an overview of the company’s products. The Isagenix regional headquarters will open in Guangzhou on Nov. 21.
In additional company news, Isagenix launched operations in Malaysia in September. The company established its new Malaysian headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Isagenix, a world leader in nutritional cleansing, develops and manufactures systems to assist in weight management, long-term wellness and skin care. Isagenix distributes its products through an independent network of over 180,000 associates. Established in 2002, Isagenix is a privately owned company headquartered in Chandler, Ariz.
ACN Recognized by Ronald McDonald House Charities
ACN recently announced that, during the Ronald McDonald House Charities International Convention on Aug. 20, the company was recognized as a Signature Partner—a distinction reserved for partners who donate between $500,000 and $1 million annually to the charity. ACN was one of only three companies to receive this honor.
In 2008, ACN named Ronald McDonald House Charities as the company’s global charity—with overall donations today climbing into the millions. The heart of ACN’s giving lies in the company’s international training events. During each of these events around the world, ACN collects donations and then matches those donations dollar for dollar, presenting a check to the local chapter of the Ronald McDonald House at the close of the event.
In addition, ACN hosts an annual celebrity golf tournament with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, the hometown of ACN’s World Headquarters. The 2013 tournament raised over $214,000 for the organization.
Founded in 1993, ACN is the world’s largest direct seller of telecommunications, energy and other essential services people use every day, including phone service, wireless, natural gas and electricity, high-speed Internet, and home security and automation. ACN operates in 23 markets worldwide, with offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Vacationers Donate 1,500 Hours to WorldVentures Foundation
WorldVentures recently announced that more than 500 WorldVentures Foundation volunteers vacationing in Cancun donated 1,500 hours to support the foundation’s Mexico-based Impact Partner, the City of Joy, in August.
Furthering its commitment to supporting global change for children, the WorldVentures Foundation organized half-day Service Excursions to the City of Joy (Ciudad de la Alegria), where its vacationing volunteers made much-needed repairs to the 12-acre campus and spent time socializing with residents.
The volunteers were in Cancun as part of WorldVentures’ recent Mega-DreamTrips™, which brought members from across the globe to the resort town for nearly two weeks of fun and relaxation—and the opportunity to achieve the third prong of the company’s brand promise: “fulfillment.” To participate in the Service Excursions, volunteers made donations to the WorldVentures Foundation, which will support the nonprofit in its efforts to create change on a global scale for children.
WorldVentures is a social commerce, peer-to-peer direct seller with a network of more than 100,000 independent representatives in 23 countries. The privately held company is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
Vemma Expands Phoenix Suns Partnership
Vemma recently announced that the company has extended and expanded its marketing partnership agreement with the Phoenix Suns through the 2015–2016 season. Since 2007, Verve has been the official energy drink of the Phoenix Suns and the Phoenix Mercury, in conjunction with the game-time hot spot Verve Lounge and concessions at US Airways Center.
The marketing partnership includes pre- and in-game promotions, as well as digital media and print exposure via the Suns Dancers annual calendar and Suns Yearbook. The partnership also includes two billboards (estimated at 18.3 million annual impressions), to be affixed to the outside of US Airways Center in time for the Suns home opener on Oct. 30.
In additional company news, Vemma was recently honored with four awards in the 2013 Videographer Awards, which are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The awards signify excellence and creativity in video production.
Vemma received Awards of Distinction for its “Verve Bold Launch Party” and “Vemma New York City Strategy Meeting” videos and Awards of Excellence for its “Verve Bold Energy Debuts at NASCAR” and “This is Vemma” videos.
Founded in 2004 by BK Boreyko, Vemma Nutrition Co. specializes in premium liquid nutrition. Vemma is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., and distributes its products through a global network of more than 250,000 independent brand partners.
AdvoCare Announces New NASCAR Sponsorship
AdvoCare, a health and wellness company, recently announced it will team with Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne to serve as the full-time partner on the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series team in 2014. The No. 6 team, led by award-winning crew chief Mike Kelly, is currently competing for its third consecutive championship at the Nationwide Series level.
AdvoCare selected Bayne, who has been taking the company’s products for some time, as someone whose values and integrity would represent the spirit of AdvoCare well in its ongoing relationship with the motorsports community. AdvoCare served as the sponsor on the No. 3 car of Austin Dillon for the past two seasons. With Dillon making the move to full-time Sprint Cup racing in 2014, the organization began the process of seeking out a new partnership.

LifeVantage Launches New Recognition Program
LifeVantage has announced that keys and clear titles to 55 customized Jeep Wranglers were presented to a variety of individuals at the company’s recent Denver event. The Jeeps are the first to be awarded to the company’s top-performing independent distributors as part of a new program called My LifeVenture.
The program reflects the company’s culture of promoting self-fulfillment, expanding personal horizons and seizing life’s adventure. Distributors who qualify for Jeeps are also enrolled in the My LifeVenture experience—an endless calendar of special adventures, like caravanning up Pikes Peak, Colo., in late July, and exploring Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, in August. Some of the excursions will be designed to leverage the Jeeps’ free-wheeling, off-road capabilities, while others will showcase the smooth ride on open highways.
Recently named one of Utah’s fastest growing companies by Utah Business Magazine, LifeVantage is a leader in Nrf2 science and sells anti-aging products to reduce oxidative stress at the cellular level. The company launched in 2003 with headquarters in Salt Lake City.
