Plexus Worldwide celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month with a special event for team members at the Scottsdale corporate headquarters.
The celebration featured live performances from Arizona non-profits dedicated to teaching children about the arts through Mexican culture, including Desert Sounds Mariachi, which offers four music programs for children, and Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ, which celebrates the colorful tradition of Mexican folkloric dance.
The Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Plexus headquarters also included a Mexican-style lunch for employees from Poky’s Cocina, festive decorations and an employee salsa contest judged by company presidents Alec Clark, Christopher Pair and Janice Jackson.
“Plexus is headquartered in Arizona, where at least one-third of our population is Hispanic, and we believe it is important to recognize the cultural contributions that shape our community and support nonprofits which educate our children,” said Tarl Robinson, founder and CEO of Plexus.
Plexus is committed to serving the Hispanic community and actively communicates opportunities in both English and Spanish on company websites, social outreach, corporate announcements, training team personnel, business coaching materials and product information.
“We have hundreds of thousands of Ambassadors around the world and value their diverse backgrounds by celebrating culturally significant events that are meaningful to our Ambassadors and our customers, and Hispanic Heritage Month is just one of those events,” said Christopher Pair, Plexus’ president of Operations and International.
To show appreciation for the cultural entertainment, Plexus Charities made monetary donations to Desert Sounds Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ.
