Mannatech’s M5M Foundation, the company’s philanthropic initiative, was honored with the Making a Difference Award by the DSA Canada Awards in a virtual event.
For this award, DSA Canada evaluates the program’s engagement, the company’s vision and motivation, and involvement relative to the company’s size. Mannatech was awarded because of the profound difference its charitable and community service efforts have made in the lives of Canadians.
“I know that each of the companies in the DSA are all doing their part to make a difference, and if there was ever a time that our help was needed it’s definitely now,” says Sona van der Hoop, Senior Director of North America Sales for Mannatech. “Thank you to the DSA for this incredible honor.”
Mannatech used their MannaLIVE Virtual Streaming event in April of this year to raise $70,000 to alleviate food insecurity during the pandemic. The funds were used to provide 320,000 meals to local food banks, including 7,000 in Alberta, Canada.
“We are incredibly grateful to receive the Making a Difference Award at the 2020 DSA Canada Awards Conference,” says Sarah Bowen, Executive Director of the M5M Foundation. “It is an honor to be recognized this year and to celebrate the good deeds we’ve been able to do in an unconventional year. Thank you to Mannatech and our wonderful Associates who made this possible!”
