Avon recently announced it is expanding its African operations into Kenya. The company already has a strong presence in Southern and North Africa, as well as parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, including Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Kenya represents the biggest economy in the east Africa region.
“Kenya has always been on our dream list, and like South Africa, we believe that it will serve as an important market and a gateway to other countries in the region such as Ethiopia and Rwanda,” said Avon Group CEO Angela Cretu. “Kenya has a young population that is very tech savvy and a growing and aspirational middle class.”
