Mannatech, Incorporated announced a 12.9% increase in net sales during the second quarter of 2021 over the previous year’s quarter, resulting in net sales of $42.5 million. Net income for the company was $2.1 million, or $0.99 per diluted share for the quarter, an increase from $0.47 per diluted share during the same period last year.
Operating costs for the quarter grew by 13.6% to $5.4 million. This increase is primarily attributed to an increase in credit card fees, consulting fees, travel and entertainment expenses and office expenses. Overall selling and administration expenses also increased by $0.4 million to $7.6 million due to a payroll bump and distribution and warehouse costs.
Year-to-date, the company’s net sales have reached $80.8 million, an 8.8% increase over the same period last year. Net income year-to-date is $4.3 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, an increase from last year’s $3.9 million and $1.62 per diluted share.
