Mannatech, Incorporated announced its third quarter financial report, revealing 3.9% growth in net sales, totaling $39.4 million. Income from operations rose significantly to $3.3 million for the quarter, up from $1.4 million during the same quarter of 2020. Net income for the company was also up, reaching $2.9 million (or $1.44 per diluted share), compared to the $1.6 million earned during the same quarter last year.
Selling and administrative expenses increased to $7.1 million from $6.6 million, and was primarily attributed to an increase in payroll costs. This expenses bump was offset in part by a $0.3 million decrease in marketing costs and a $0.1 million decrease in contract labor.
Recruitment of new associates and preferred customers during the quarter decreased 1.4% to 25,036.
For the first nine months of 2021, the company’s net sales totaled $120.3 million, a 7.2% increase, and income from operations reached $8.1 million, a significant increase from the $4.5 million total during the same period in 2020.
