Avon Worldwide has been officially recognized by the Leaping Bunny Program, the globally recognized standard for cruelty-free products. Avon began a partnership with Cruelty Free International in July 2023 and has long been committed to animal welfare and using its influence to speak out against testing beauty products on animals.
The brand’s Fragrance, Avon Care and Anew all received Leaping Bunny approval last year, but this recent recognition covers all categories. This was a massive undertaking that took place in phases, requiring the screening of more than 8,000 raw materials and detailed supplier engagement.
“After three decades of working toward ending animal testing for cosmetics, we’re proud to reach this milestone and become Leaping Bunny approved,” said Kristof Neirynck, Avon CEO. “This achievement reflects our belief that beauty should be cruelty-free across the board, and our long-standing commitment to make the world a better place for all.”
Avon has also previously partnered with the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS), FRAME, Humane International Society and PETA to help create positive change concerning animal testing within the cosmetics space.
