Beginning today, Amway will be shuttering operations in Russia. The company stated that it would be focused on “providing support to those impacted by this decision, and on treating all with openness, dignity, and respect while meeting our contractual and statutory obligations.”
Amway has had an operational presence in Russia for 17 years and cites “economic, technological, organizational and operational circumstances” as factors that have made it impossible for the company to continue operations there.
This is the first time in the company’s 63-year history that it has left a market.
