The Direct Selling Association (DSA) recently held virtual events featuring almost 20 women entrepreneurs from congressional districts across the country to discuss the importance of flexibility and opportunity when it comes to work, and the value that direct selling can offer women. These Women’s Entrepreneurship Roundtables hosted Reps. Ashley Hinson (R-IA), Nancy Mace (R-SC), Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) and Victoria Spartz (R-IN).
“We appreciate Reps. Hinson, Mace, Mullin and Spartz taking time out of their busy schedules to attend these events connecting salesforce with the people who represent their interests and make important policy decisions that impact their businesses,” said DSA President Joseph N. Mariano. “These forums provide a great opportunity for an open dialogue about entrepreneurship from our thriving businesses.”
The women entrepreneurs participating in the event had the opportunity to share how direct selling has provided them with growth both personally and professionally.
“Direct selling has been a part of my life since childhood,” said Rep. Mullin. “I was impressed hearing from these women in my district on how the business has adapted over many years to be successful and I look forward to supporting that evolution as a Member of Congress.”
